Psychology of Color

Psychology of Color is one of the most useful things that's being taught in the class itself. I've learnt that difference colors have different meanings and will give different results. i.e. the same book will differently just by the change of the book cover's color with everything else intact. How amazing!

Here's the Details:

  • Red:
Energetic, Dynamic, Speedy, Enthusiasm, Protection from Fear and Anxiety, Draws Attention, Life
  • Pink:
Love, Romantic, Feminine, Most Calming Color, Gentle
Usually used in sites that attracts female crowd.
  • Orange:
Fun loving, Trendy, Warmth, Excitement, Vibrant, Stimulates Appetite, Encourage Socialization
Good for sites that promotes food because it tends to make people hungry.
  • Yellow:
Sunny, Joyful, Youth, Grabs Attention, Speeds Metabolism
If used too much, especially bright yellow background will make people tired when reading the text.
  • Green:
Calming, Refreshing, Relaxing Mentally and Physically
It's generally perceived to be good for the eyes.
  • Blue:
Power, Trust, Peace, Loyalty, Calm, Cold, Depressing
Usually, banks use Blue so that they portrays more trust in people, e.g. UOB, POSB, CitiBank.
  • Purple:

Free Antivirus Software

Just shared with one of my friends a few days ago that her computer is infected by some virus. And came to realised only yesterday that she's not the only one with unprotected computer. Then I'm wondering if it's just IT people that knows where to get free yet good antivirus software and install? Just to share with those that didn't know, AVG is really a very good yet free antivirus software. If you don't have one, it's best that you just download and install it so that your computer will be almost always virus free. At least most of the normal virus won't be able to disturb you :)

Monopoly Deal - A Fun Game to Play @ Chalets!

I felt that Monopoly Deal is really a fun and challenging game to play, especially at the Chalet. There are many rules to the game, but luckily we had a  monopoly deal rules expert with us to double-click with in event of discrepancy! I feel that it requires strategy and some form of luck to win the game. So far, I always get good property cards sets but it always get taken away 'cos I don't have the "Just say NO" card and it tend to get taken away, especially if I've a complete set. Then, I tried the strategy of not putting up a complete set, then it also doesn't really work 'cos in the end, I don't end up putting my sets on the table. Perhaps, I'll need to play a lot more times and try different methods till I get the idea right I guess. If you do have the chance, try playing that game. It's really exciting, 'cos you'll never know how long will your properties stay with you! As well as, how much money you can have in your hands. T...
