Walking Around at Frankfurt on Sunday

There are really not much people around when we had the 2nd day of our trip at Frankfurt, 24 May, on a Sunday. None of the shopping areas are open sadly.. So it's mainly just walking around the museum street..  This Cafe is practically empty! That's one of the church around the area Taking photo with Greenman More photos with the buildings.. That's my hubby sneakily photo bombing me haha.. The teddy bear that blows bubbles along the street I think the bubble blowing teddy bear seem to be a popular icon in Europe as I saw quite a few different ones at different part of the region.

Jurassic Park - Senckenberg Museum

I was sorting my pictures when I saw the Dinosaurs photos that I had took while I was as one of the parks near Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt. It reminds me of the Jurassic Park movie I watched the previous week. I wasn't sure what's the name of the park but I wonder if it's actually called Jurassic Park too haha. Me & Dino This reminds me of the Hero that saved the lead in the Jurassic Park movie.. The Dino with short hands haha..  Here's the vegetarian Dino which is one of the victims that got killed by the monster Dino they created during the movie..  These should be the 2 main Dinos that you actually can take photo with at the park.. As we didn't like to visit museums so we didn't actually went inside the actual museum. But if you are keen, you can check out their site at:  http://www.senckenberg.de/root/index.php?page_id=5256   On Sunday / Public holidays, it's pretty much museums and castles or natural sightseeing places that...

Frankfurt Day 3 - Last Day in Frankfurt

Here's a bar right next to our station: Ostbahnhof.   Here's where the we had our nice tasting hot stone lunch near the castle like place.  I came to realised that I didn't had any food photo.. Must be because it's too nice and needs my attention so forgot all about taking photo of it.. It's something like our pepper lunch concept where the food we ordered comes in a hot stone plate where we get to cook right away with the 2 sauces that we picked. I like the butter sauce as it tasted great with the beef steak I ordered. Also because we cooked it ourselves, we can cook to the level that we'd like.. Only thing is that because the steak is quite big so it took very some time to finish cutting up the entire steak into small pieces so that it's well done but not too tough haha.. Well I can't eat raw food as my stomach is too weak..  This is another nice tasting ice cream which I ate along the way. Woolworth sounds simi...

Frankfurt Day 2 - Supermarket Day

This is the machine where you can get the EUR $1 nice tasting coffee at the BB Hotel. I think it's a great idea to have the snacks and coffee machine within the hotel itself, especially for tourist like us that might forgot to eat our dinner during summer period, it'd come in handy.  And we walked to the nearby hypermart - Edeka for shopping. In fact, we spent like half a day there, looking at what's available in their super market.. LOL!  Here's our train tickets for 2 days. The cheaper EUR $9.50 for up to 5 pax 1 day unlimited ride (excluding airport) and the EUR $15 for up to 5 pax 1 day unlimited ride including airport.  Here's the unique concept shopping mall where you can literally walk down the entire shopping mall without using the escalator / lift. So it's a slopped level concept. Where we can just take the lift up to the top floor then start walking down each of the level until we reached the first level.  I think this t...

Frankfurt Day 1 - Around the Shopping Street

Here's the various places at Frankfurt where we get to walk around at. This is where we alight at the Alte Oper station and walk along the streets to go to where the shopping places are.  Well as a Ice Cream Lover, I just had to try the Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream at Germany itself where it's made.. Somehow, it tasted a bit better and is of course much cheaper than eating it in Singapore.  Although days are very long, somehow we still trees as bald as this one in many places especially along the shopping street.  Here's the 2 most common pharmacies, kind of similar to our Guardian and Watson's.  Of course when it comes to oral hygiene products such as tooth paste and tooth brush, it's somehow way cheaper in Germany (than in Paris and definitely Singapore). So as usual, I bought some toothpaste home haha.. No toothbrush needed as we bought too much during our last trip. Here's Rituals, my favourite store wh...
