Kitty, Waterfall and other Taiwan Highlights!

Hello Kitty Sweets restaurant where all the food are of the lovely kitty shaped! So cute! But then the food wasn't exactly very tasty as most of them are in a way very sweet. Probably a place that I'd visit just once to experience the atmosphere and take a look at what's inside. The minimum spending here is NTD: $300 per head excluding kids. The soft toy sitting in a very relaxed manner. Posed by me! That's our tired piggy with its massage tool! Tea drinking session at Jioufen Tea House , the nice smelling tea with delicious home made Oolong tea biscuit. It's really a pity that they didn't sell the home made biscuit in packet form as it's really very tasty!!  Waterfall and us! Just the waterfall! Close up view of the falling water! That's dear Welcome to the beginning of the water fall journey! :P Other people's tian deng (天灯) Rainbow Bridge! Perhaps it's nicer looking at night Taipei 101 Quite beautiful i

Visiting Yehliu Geopark (野柳) - Day 2

As the main highlight of Yehliu Geopark is the queen's head, I thought there wasn't a lot to see. So we headed off to Yehliu on 台铁(Train) and 客运(Bus) at around 11 plus. Before that, we dad our brunch at Ah Zong Mian Xian (阿宗面缐) Here's the photo taken at 基隆 where we change to the bus The F1 like bus driver gave us a bumpy right to Yeh Liu (野柳) They have plenty of cute looking mascots of the various stone structures. So I definitely must pose with them :)  Then here's some of the amazing and beautiful stone structures which we witness during our journey. The entrance fee to the park is about TWD: $50 per head. So it's certainly very worth the value. Just that, going round the entire place is going to take about 3 - 5 hours depending on how much area you are covering. As we only travel to about half of the inner areas, so it's about 4 hours and still some places we didn't managed to go but it's getting dark so we just have to go.  Candle Stones

Taipei Trip Day 1

The morning flight is really very early, starting at 7.10am. Which means I need to wake up at around 3.45 - 4am! Amazingly, I'm the one that slept more but that's the photo of hardworking one vs the sleepy one :P So, who's the piggy here?

Dream Board Updates (Achieving 50% of 1 corner!)

That's the corner of my dream board that I've achieved like 50%. 50% because it had already been planned for and that the "You Guess" team finally confirmed my seats to their upcoming show recording session on 24th October! :D I feel so blessed that my persistence in emailing them pays off! The original email that I've got from a forum seems to be no longer valid as there wasn't any more replies from that email then I found their blog  and saw another email used for registration! So I've decided to try again. Then there are replies and last week there isn't any reply, probably due to their National holidays or something. I'm pretty excited to be going there although the recording session is pretty long, 6.5hrs for the session I picked. Perhaps with some luck, I might even be able to get a chance to take a photo with Jacky Wu! When I stick all those photos onto that board, it's like just a dream and I'm not even sure when I'd achieve

The Mis-Changed Currency

Was supposed to change from Singapore dollars to Taiwan Dollars today. Unfortunately, Taiwan and Thai sounding similar, plus the exchange rate is really quite similar just that Thai's exchange rate is a bit better than Taiwan's (google says it's like 1 THB to 0.98 TWD). Somehow, the uncle hear wrongly and we didn't see correctly, so we ended up with THB instead. *fainted* OMG!!! (Still quite confused..) Luckily, my bro tell me when I show him the money if not maybe I'll attempt to use it in Taiwan haha... Haiz, so we had decided to just change back everything in Taiwan's airport directly instead, gave up. So that it will confirmed be changed to the correct currency with the AUD and HKD and the rest of the SGDs. Look on the bright side, we only changed like 25% of our original budget so it's not that bad and the exchange rate we got wasn't too bad. Come to think of it, it's actually quite funny. I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day :D It'

Updated my Blog Design

Recently, I've been working on the new blog template and giving my blog a new facelift! On the left is my blog screenshot and on the right is the original template. Currently, only the right sidebar and the image / label background remains the same. I had a pretty tough time adjusting the size of the scrolling images as well as the architecture of the template. Perhaps also in my attempt to simplify future editing. I was still thinking if I should customize the new template to the extend that it is totally different from the one I adapted from? It's currently about 30% different from the original one, in terms of the look and feel, although the structure is a lot more flexible than before. Should I or should I not?
