Shi Wei Tian 食唯天 Steamboat

Finally, I'm almost well now. I'm now able to eat steamboat without the rice portion. :D Went to Shi Wei Tian with my colleagues for dinner few days ago and enjoyed myself there. That's the Tom Yum vs Herbal Chicken soup base. They say that Tom Yum is nicer but I didn't take spicy food so, I've only tried the Herbal Chicken soup (+$10 for that soup base) . It's very thick and probably too much herbal ingredients so a bit bitter I felt. Overall the food is nice but portion per bowl is quite small and  price on the high side, as it's not buffet. The service is pretty slow as well.

Dolly Kitchen @ Shanghai Dolly's Nice Porridge

Have you ever experience the feeling of having the entire restaurant just to yourself? Most importantly, the food is nice and the service is great! This meal from what you can see, cost about $15.90. And we've got the entire restaurant to ourselves for 75% of the time. The last 25% is due to me eating too slowly and another group of customers dropped by. We reached the place at about 8pm and the place was empty, I couldn't believe my eyes. Then we started ordering the porridge as that's the only food around that I can eat anyway. Hence, we've decided to just give it a try...

Happening Week after the Tooth Extraction!

Life is super exciting this week! The most happening part is certainly my unforgettable experience of the gum bleeding due to some unknown mishap outcomes from the tooth extraction. The almost 24hrs of pretty consistent bleeding, along with 3 x vomitting of blood clots. It's pretty gross actually but is a very frightening experience of  my life. During the period of my absence, it does seems like lots of things happened along the way and life's pretty hectic. The fortunate part is that, I'm well again. Thank god, the dentist managed to resolve the issue and no more bleeding. I'm very glad that it's all over. But no more solid food for me for now, hopefully, I'd get to eat normally again soon. Every happening experience teaches me valuable lessons...

Removal of My Wisdom Tooth

Just had my wisdom tooth removed yesterday. It's certainly an unforgettable experience. As I went to the polyclinic for the extraction, there's actually a nurse and a doctor doing the job. The nurse for advice and comforting of the patient -- me, and the doctor to execute the process.  Firstly, it's the anesthetic injection, after that I saw a pliers like tool used to pull out the tooth. Then the doctor told me, as my tooth was in a awkward position, it's a bit hard to remove it. Soon, I saw a screw driver like tool, probably used to push the tooth to a removable position. After that the pliers like tool again.. In fact, after I saw the screw driver like item, I started praying that the process will be a smooth one and it'll end within 5 mins. Fortunately, the universe answered my prayers and it really ended pretty soon.. As the tooth finally came loose and was pulled out..

Last Glimpse of the Railway Track

Went for a walk along the railway track. The entire 22km track will be opened until next Sunday (17th July). After which, only 3km of the track (from Rifle Range Road to the Rail Mall) will be opened, until 31 July 2011.  Read the URA article for more info. I'm looking forward to the re-opening of the Tanjong Pagar & Bukit Timah Railway station so that we can drop by to take a look as well. :D That's the railway track with quite a number of people walking along the way... Including couples.. and many more.. Of which, most of them loves taking photos, like me :)

Reading "Think & Grow Rich" on Sunday Afternoon...

Spent my Sunday afternoon reading my "Think & Grow Rich" birthday present at Starbucks (UE 2 ). I'm pretty inspired by the way Napoleon Hill describes how those people succeeded simply through their strong desire & faith. Although he kept repeating and emphasizing on the same few illustration, it helps in getting the point across and burning that thought into our brain...

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Transformers: Dark of the Moon A very long but nice show on Transformers. Actually, I can't quite recall the female / male lead except for the name Sam. In fact, I only recognise the transformers haha.. Personally, I find Bumblebee cute :D Although he can no longer speak but with the help of radio, he can talk just that it sounds rather funny. What I felt was that it's a show full of suspense, action and excitement bringing my emotions on a roller coaster ride! It's hard to tell which items are robots and which are normal appliances / even cars too.

Häagen Dazs - Summer Romance

Tried the Summer Romance Smoothie at Häagen Dazs Esplanade branch last weekend. It consists of Raspberry & Summer Berries Smoothie, and Mango & Apricot Smoothie with 2 Sorbet scoops. I think the flavor of the 2 Sorbet scoops should be raspberry and peach. The smoothies are pretty nice, I like the Mango & Apricot one more, and perhaps the Summer Berries part of the other smoothie.
