Dinner @ Orchard

Had an enjoyable dinner discussion with one of my best friends at Orchard area. In fact, we are also debating about is it possible to be passionate about something if it really don't generates income. Well, to me is that I think it's because of passion that someone becomes successful 'cos of the numerous famous successful people that I've known so far. But she was thinking that if they didn't make that much, they won't actually be that passionate about it after all. So it's actually because they've made a fortune from it that they became even more passionate about the things they did. And it didn't end up with much conclusion on that area in the end.

Then, we went for window shopping, looking at the latest bargains at taka. In fact, who says that taka only sells expensive stuff? So far most of my night gowns for wedding dinner are bought there and most are bought at the sale. So it actually didn't cost as much as most people had imagined it to be. After that we noticed that the Christmas Decos are already in the making. But of course as usual, I'm the only excited one about it. She can't believe that the Decos are already up until we both saw that Tree in the making. And I'm reminded as the "famous" Christmas Tree photo upload-er as most of the Christmas tree photos she has seen so far are usually uploaded by me lol!

She's right but then that's 'cos I loved to take photos especially Christmas Trees, it's always amazing to see how many different types of trees are around. Every year, it's always a somewhat different design altogether. I just loved taking photos of them and admiring them at my own leisure time. :P

I believe that it's the passion that makes one truly successful (though I have met people who only chase after the money)...

With passion, we will not easily give up and keep pursuing till we are truly successful despite the inevitable challenges in each of our different journeys.

Hi I'm that friend she went out for dinner with.. I believe passion should be a way of living, instead of an intense pro-longed enthusiastism for a single activity.. Having fire and passion for everything you choose to do will give you success no matter which field you choose.. Hence, no matter what your decision is, I wish you success in everything you choose to do.. :)

Backup!

Haha.. I spent most of the day creating recovery disk (1 set -- initial setting), install everything I want then create backup disk. Lol.. Yes I really need the backup... 'cos before I create the backup.. I actually configure until the DVD drive cannot use.. Such that ermm heng hor, Windows have restore point and I was constantly installing stuff.. haha.. So I'm not too sure what config went nuts 'cos I just restore and start again loh.. It's just day 2 nia.. I spoiled the software again lol.. Think maybe I should just not try to be too funny about my config ba.. Then I try to play the game, it seems like my pointer settings will affect the game play if I use pointer. A bit ma fan.. So maybe I should just use mouse for it ba. And something wrong about the map also.. I can see the floor.. yes.. But the pic of the mini and big map for one of the quest cannot be displayed. Now trying to find direct X to install. Hopefully it helps ba. At least most of the stuff is done le....

Mahjong Session

Ended up playing a day of mahjong at my friend's house yesterday 'cos didn't managed to find dinner kaki. The originally planned steamboat dinner somehow got cancelled. A bit sian about the cancellation but at least I still have friends playing mahjong with me ba. Went home quite late due to transportation issue haha.. The good part about this mahjong session was that hmm.. there's 50% on top of 50% discount which is about 75% off ba haha.. 'cos my luck was so bad that I've managed to lost $13 when the stakes is 5 cents / 10 cents lol.. I guess.. I better not play mahjong with money anymore le haha..

Tiramisu @ The Tiramisu Hero Cafe

While walking from Jalan Besar Stadium's carpark to Lavender Food Square to eat my favourite wanton mee, we past by an interesting dessert cafe - the tiramisu hero . the tiramisu hero As a fan of tiramisu, I wonder why I haven't seen that place before that. So after dinner, we dropped by to check out their menu. I am amazed to know that they actually serves a wide variety of tiramisu flavours, unfortunately not all special flavours are available. From the board displayed at the order counter, I can see that they strike off all the sold out flavours... I believe their business must be very good because there's only a few flavours are left. The $3.5 MiniHero are all sold out. So I had to order the ♥ MommaHero (classic original flavour) instead. Even their menu looks so cute  ♥ While I was sitting at the table, waiting to be served, I wonder if I can even finish the entire tub myself as I am pretty full from dinner and it seems like it might be pretty big....
