Investment Outlook Seminar Review

This Thursday, my friend invited me to an FA Investment Outlook Seminar at URA Centre. After attending the seminar, I felt that Financial Alliance's seminar is quite unlike other investment seminars that I've been to. They gave me a feeling that they'll protect their clients interest genuinely.

An example of protecting the client's interest is that when they felt that the market is going to correct, they've currently implemented the plan of shifting down their client's portfolio by 1 level so that it is faster in reducing their risk and exposure, i.e. an balanced portfolio after the shift will probably become a conservative portfolio after the shift. I like the way the protect their clients and they are very honest about their performance and judgment in things. They shared about the part that they will only increase the equities exposure of their clients in the recent market bull run after they monitor it for a while and felt confident enough that the market is really going up.

I asked them if they lost money during the economic downturn and they share with me about it honestly. This is in fact something that I like about that company. Too bad that company is not listed. Their aim is actually in capital preservation, so they would aim for a steady growth rather than high fluctuation in the portfolio performance.

Monopoly Deal - A Fun Game to Play @ Chalets!

I felt that Monopoly Deal is really a fun and challenging game to play, especially at the Chalet. There are many rules to the game, but luckily we had a  monopoly deal rules expert with us to double-click with in event of discrepancy! I feel that it requires strategy and some form of luck to win the game. So far, I always get good property cards sets but it always get taken away 'cos I don't have the "Just say NO" card and it tend to get taken away, especially if I've a complete set. Then, I tried the strategy of not putting up a complete set, then it also doesn't really work 'cos in the end, I don't end up putting my sets on the table. Perhaps, I'll need to play a lot more times and try different methods till I get the idea right I guess. If you do have the chance, try playing that game. It's really exciting, 'cos you'll never know how long will your properties stay with you! As well as, how much money you can have in your hands. T...

Business Network International

I went for one of my friends' Business Network International gathering today. It's actually quite interesting, although initially, I'm quite lost. But after some time, then ok le. A new experience I should say, with a group of people that likes whatever each other is going so much and having lots of fun! The people there are really very friendly, so I shall add those that I've talked to into my hotlist then. Just that I'm not too sure if they really remember me :P But after sometime, I'll need to replace my friend for about 2 weeks so it should be ok I guess. The only downside is that. 7.30am is really a tough timing to wake up and go for the meeting. I'm glad I'm there. I'm so blessed!

Shaun Stenning - Story of the Refund Request

I'm merely sharing the harsh truth and facts about the refund story started by Shaun Stenning himself. My post is biased toward my personal experience so judge it yourself. First of all, there was originally a blog post in their site to tell us that there will be a refund statement or something that will be send to us some Release Agreement but nothing ever happen other than the acknowledgment email reply which I've received from Shaun: "On Mon, Jan 24, 2011 at 12:15 PM, Shaun Stenning <shaun.stenning@dollarrose.com> wrote: your refund request has been received, please note that we will not be actioning the request until 1st March 2011 when you will receive the Release Agreement Shaun" After that, I just visited that link again and it has already been removed entirely. It's now loading page not found instead. If you were me, how would you feel?
