Heart, Mind & Body Festival @ Fort Canning - Mar 2012

Visited the Heart, Mind & Body Festival yesterday, not forgetting to take photos of the nice scenery along the way.  Alighted at the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station and had quite a long stroll to the place, the stairs was pretty high from the looks of it but still I managed to make it there... Honestly speaking, if not for the posters and arrow guides along the way, I certainly cannot find the venue. Location : Fort Canning (Gallery & Foyer), 51 Canning Rise I would say that this is an interesting fair to visit once in a while as it brings upon enlightenment of various different school of thoughts and ideas on how we can understand ourselves, clear our minds, fill our heart and heal our body. The downside of this batch was that the venue was kind of smaller than usual making it rather cramp. I wasn't able to locate the seminar venue when I was there though, so I wonder was it because I didn't explored enough or something. *still wondering* The part I loved more was the ...

Dinner @ Gurney Drive - Changi Airport

Had dinner at Terminal 3 of Changi Airport when we arrived at Singapore. I think the food was pretty good and interesting, probably more affordable than usual if not for the additional service charge and GST. They even sell the Penang's famous snacks... I ordered the Penang Fried Kway Teow as non-spicy version of the pawn noodles is not available I personally find the one at Penang tasting better My bf ordered this and i think it looks quite nice. He finished it all :D The Nice Kopi Interesting and nice tasting Ice Kachang The final bill is around $20 bucks, mainly because of the various additional charges as the main dinner is  ~$6.90 each, the Kopi ~ $2, the dessert - $2.90. The staff meals are only available at weekdays lunch time. Should try it another day

My Melbourne Trip

Went for a short Melbourne Trip for work last week and had meetings all the way, when I'm not on the flight haha.. I'm pretty glad that I'm back in Singapore again.. :D The good times was the nice dinner that we had at Kamel... Salt and light source for dinner  Tasty Potatoes... Yes, Ice Cream Dessert :D Apart from the results of various meetings I had during the trip, the most noticeable outcome from the trip is that I bought a lot of chocolates lol! Some are for my parents and some on my office table. :P That's our luggage. Oops

Dinner @ Sentosa

This year is the dragon year and RWS has a everywhere is the dragon decoration feeling. The flying dragon The dragon holding RWS pearl The universal studio logo that has lots of smoke. Too bad after our dinner, I didn't get to go in a take photo cos it has already closed. Will try again another day. :D Originally wanted to visit the Malaysian Food Street but there are too many people. The queue is like a very long "dragon". So we ended up having dinner at Ding Tai Feng Drunken Chicken Xiao Long Bao Yam Bun Actually, we also had fried rice which finished before I remember to take its photo :D Yes, we are very hungry! Visited the Universal Studio Gift Shop since the studio is already closed Admiring the interesting water feature, with many patterns.. And that marks the end of our Saturday. I wish everyone a happy birthday today since I'm writing this post on "ren" (human) day, which is something like everyone's birthday. :)

Dinner @ Casuarina Curry, MacPherson - Finally!

After visiting the original Casuarina Curry along Casuarina Road for like about 2 times, we always saw the MacPherson signboard but never got to the new place as I haven't got that address with me. Finally, I took the address from my previous blog post and went to the new place for dinner :D The new Casuarina Curry @ MacPherson has a newly renovated feeling. Perhaps a much smaller place, rather quiet and not many customers at this time of the day. Maybe because it's a weekday evening or maybe because it's new so there aren't that many people that know of its presence. Of course, that's just my speculations. As for the food wise, I would say that the mushroom and cheese prata tasted about the same but it somehow looks smaller than the one at Casuarina Road. Not sure if it's an illusion but the green plate, usually used for holding rice makes it rather hard to cut my prata. If not for the convenience of the location, because it's nearer to the airport where ...
