A Trip to Mint Toy Museum

Mint Museum of Toys
I actually visited the Mint Museum of Toys on National Day this year but didn't upload those photos until now :X. I'd say that it's more worth the money to visit on that day as there's almost 50% discount due to national day sale :P. On top of that, we finished touring the place in within a few hours. The mint shop is right next to the entrance of the museum.

The address of the Mint Toy Museum is "26 Seah Street, Singapore 188382" and I'd say that the building is pretty easy to miss as it's a part of a shop house street.

The directory is actually located next to the lift. So I took the lift to 5th floor then walk down. :)

There are lots of robot toys variation and it's pretty amazing that there's a USD $15K robot. Quite a few comes with price tag but probably just to let us know the estimated value and not so much of putting them up for sale.

Astroboy
I think this one is the Astro boy the cartoon character of the good old times.. Looks kind of familar but didn't recall watching it though.

I like this one as it reminds me of the uncle in my primary school that put up a stop sign to control the traffic and always say "Walk Walk Walk" in chinese and dialet.

The Flint Stone on the Dino as usual :)

The little girl is so cute :)

Didn't know what's this but the thumb protector is cute

Tin Tin!
There's a big figure of tin tin and lots of small tin tin toys... It still reminds me of my ex-colleague whom we always link with this character

Popeye the sailor man
It's just so classic. I still remember the times where we used to play the popeye computer games.. which didn't seem to be available anymore these days.

This Batman and Robin toy is so unique!

Ready, get set, go!!
Haha.. doesn't it remind us of bike racing, especially with the way they arrange these toys?

And that's me posing with the felix the cat

Darkie
I wonder if Darlie toothpaste originated from this...

Snow white and the 7 dwarfs

These posters must be antiques now..
I didn't recall seeing these posters before... Especially that "the Sword in the Stone" cartoon.

This weighing machine is really antique, haven't seen it around for ages. It used to be around many shopping malls very long time ago when I was still a kid.

Backup!

Haha.. I spent most of the day creating recovery disk (1 set -- initial setting), install everything I want then create backup disk. Lol.. Yes I really need the backup... 'cos before I create the backup.. I actually configure until the DVD drive cannot use.. Such that ermm heng hor, Windows have restore point and I was constantly installing stuff.. haha.. So I'm not too sure what config went nuts 'cos I just restore and start again loh.. It's just day 2 nia.. I spoiled the software again lol.. Think maybe I should just not try to be too funny about my config ba.. Then I try to play the game, it seems like my pointer settings will affect the game play if I use pointer. A bit ma fan.. So maybe I should just use mouse for it ba. And something wrong about the map also.. I can see the floor.. yes.. But the pic of the mini and big map for one of the quest cannot be displayed. Now trying to find direct X to install. Hopefully it helps ba. At least most of the stuff is done le....

Mahjong Session

Ended up playing a day of mahjong at my friend's house yesterday 'cos didn't managed to find dinner kaki. The originally planned steamboat dinner somehow got cancelled. A bit sian about the cancellation but at least I still have friends playing mahjong with me ba. Went home quite late due to transportation issue haha.. The good part about this mahjong session was that hmm.. there's 50% on top of 50% discount which is about 75% off ba haha.. 'cos my luck was so bad that I've managed to lost $13 when the stakes is 5 cents / 10 cents lol.. I guess.. I better not play mahjong with money anymore le haha..

Tiramisu @ The Tiramisu Hero Cafe

While walking from Jalan Besar Stadium's carpark to Lavender Food Square to eat my favourite wanton mee, we past by an interesting dessert cafe - the tiramisu hero . the tiramisu hero As a fan of tiramisu, I wonder why I haven't seen that place before that. So after dinner, we dropped by to check out their menu. I am amazed to know that they actually serves a wide variety of tiramisu flavours, unfortunately not all special flavours are available. From the board displayed at the order counter, I can see that they strike off all the sold out flavours... I believe their business must be very good because there's only a few flavours are left. The $3.5 MiniHero are all sold out. So I had to order the ♥ MommaHero (classic original flavour) instead. Even their menu looks so cute  ♥ While I was sitting at the table, waiting to be served, I wonder if I can even finish the entire tub myself as I am pretty full from dinner and it seems like it might be pretty big....
