Paris Day 1 - Garden Tour

I had finally sorted out the photo for my Paris / Frankfurt Trip and here's Day 1 photos. As 1st May on which we had reached Paris is a Public Holiday in Europe as well, there's nothing much opened except for Parks and eatery places.

Lesson learnt: Next time I'll plan my leave better and avoid visiting Europe on their public holidays.

After alighting from the "Gare du Nord" station, we walked around to find places with food and I am so cold because... my luggage check-in was delayed and I had checked in my jacket accidentally and didn't realise it until it was too late! The lucky part is that my boyfriend had 2 jackets and I got the thinner one as the other one feels pricky so too bad for me.

Here's the first cafe that we saw and decided to give it a try as the price is pretty reasonable.

I heard that the chicken is not bad.

The beef I ordered was super tough as it's well done but at least it's edible.. So my favourite was the French Fries which we guess because it's France so their fries just got to be good... :D

We took a a walk around Eiffel Tower area to confirm on how to get there, just in case as we had already booked out Eiffel Tower Tour on 3rd May. :D We booked the tour just to make sure that we can skip the long ticket buying queue :P My friend told me that she had to queue for 3 hours just to buy the ticket and after that, it's pretty fast..

Here's an interesting flower on a tree at the garden near Eiffel Tower :)
I wonder if this is the cherry trees that the websites are talking about.. I guess, it's getting into Summer so only a few of such trees are around for viewing in the various parks that I went..

This looks like some interesting looking remains of certain buildings but due to the swamps of tiny looking insects around the area, I ran off just to be safe. It's definitely not fun to be sick or bitten or anything overseas especially on the first day of my trip.

This is the occasional water fountain special effects that we spotted as we loiter around the area for quite some time. Well, there's this particular strong smell in the area near this fountain and it got stronger especially when this special effects started.

Here's the last park that we got to as it had started raining a bit as we got there..
Here's the both of us taking photo while waiting for the rain to subside.

My camera can't capture how big the rain is.... only the wet floor.

After that we went back to sleep and missed dinner! OMG!! Because it's public holidays the eateries closed early and after much walking, there's no food nearby our hotel except for vending machines.. So we ate chips for dinner.. Luckily we had a lot of bread and stuff during the day so it's not that bad..

Monopoly Deal - A Fun Game to Play @ Chalets!

I felt that Monopoly Deal is really a fun and challenging game to play, especially at the Chalet. There are many rules to the game, but luckily we had a  monopoly deal rules expert with us to double-click with in event of discrepancy! I feel that it requires strategy and some form of luck to win the game. So far, I always get good property cards sets but it always get taken away 'cos I don't have the "Just say NO" card and it tend to get taken away, especially if I've a complete set. Then, I tried the strategy of not putting up a complete set, then it also doesn't really work 'cos in the end, I don't end up putting my sets on the table. Perhaps, I'll need to play a lot more times and try different methods till I get the idea right I guess. If you do have the chance, try playing that game. It's really exciting, 'cos you'll never know how long will your properties stay with you! As well as, how much money you can have in your hands. T...

Business Network International

I went for one of my friends' Business Network International gathering today. It's actually quite interesting, although initially, I'm quite lost. But after some time, then ok le. A new experience I should say, with a group of people that likes whatever each other is going so much and having lots of fun! The people there are really very friendly, so I shall add those that I've talked to into my hotlist then. Just that I'm not too sure if they really remember me :P But after sometime, I'll need to replace my friend for about 2 weeks so it should be ok I guess. The only downside is that. 7.30am is really a tough timing to wake up and go for the meeting. I'm glad I'm there. I'm so blessed!

Shaun Stenning - Story of the Refund Request

I'm merely sharing the harsh truth and facts about the refund story started by Shaun Stenning himself. My post is biased toward my personal experience so judge it yourself. First of all, there was originally a blog post in their site to tell us that there will be a refund statement or something that will be send to us some Release Agreement but nothing ever happen other than the acknowledgment email reply which I've received from Shaun: "On Mon, Jan 24, 2011 at 12:15 PM, Shaun Stenning <shaun.stenning@dollarrose.com> wrote: your refund request has been received, please note that we will not be actioning the request until 1st March 2011 when you will receive the Release Agreement Shaun" After that, I just visited that link again and it has already been removed entirely. It's now loading page not found instead. If you were me, how would you feel?
